Wellstar Health System is seeking a FT Phlebotomist for Cobb Hospital. The role supports the Laboratory services, performing phlebotomy and specimen processing with attention to patient safety, privacy, and accuracy in a hospital setting.

You will collect blood samples, handle specimens, and collaborate with nursing and lab staff to ensure timely delivery of results. Experience in outpatient or hospital labs is preferred and BLS certification is required at hire.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required upon hire (or equivalent).
• Phlebotomy certification preferred upon hire.

Aufgaben

• Verify quality/quantity of specimens on arrival.
• Perform phlebotomy with proper patient identification and PPE.
• Collect venous and capillary samples, maintain a 10/hour minimum.
• Process and route specimens in LIS/HIS accurately.
• Provide patient test results to providers and maintain records.
• Assist with lab inventory and QA checks.
