Job summary

Emanate Health in California is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to perform venipunctures for adults and pediatrics, and to handle specimen processing and data entry. You will communicate with clients to help resolve specimen concerns and participate in other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications include a California CPT certificate, BLS, and fluent English, with 1–2 years of related experience preferred. A strong customer service mindset is essential to support our patient-focused care.

Job Summary

Works under the supervision of the Director of Laboratory Services/Asst. Director/and or Supervising Clinical Laboratory Scientists. Performs venipunctures on adults and pediatrics and micro collections on infants. Participates in data entry, specimen processing and communicates with clients to help resolve specimen concerns as required. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.

Minimum Experience Requirement:

• Proficiency in phlebotomy techniques and medical/laboratory terminology required.
• Two year acute care hospital laboratory experience preferred.
• One to two (1-2) years experience assisting in performing laboratory assays preferred.
• Ability to operate computer input terminal.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy techniques including special procedures such as blood cultures, finger and heel sticks.
• Communication skills to include fluent English.
• Typing and word processing skills required.
• Excellent customer service skills required.

Minimum License Requirement:

• Current California CPT (Certified Phlebotomy Technician) certificate.
• BLS required.

Pay Range: $23.00 - $34.50
