Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Michigan is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Laboratory Services team. This full-time role involves blood collection, specimen processing, and delivering patient-centered care in a fast-paced setting.

We offer a 40-hour work week with daytime shifts and a sign-on bonus for eligible candidates. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, at least six months of phlebotomy experience, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and demonstrate exceptional customer service skills is required.
• A minimum of six months experience in phlebotomy is required

Responsibilities

• Master the art of phlebotomy – Collect blood samples with skill and confidence (at least 25% of your time).
• Keep things moving – Process specimen orders, enter data accurately, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks
• Be a testing pro – Perform point-of-care testing and help keep our lab running smoothly
• Logistics champion – Transport laboratory specimens and materials safely and efficiently
• People person – Interact with patients, laboratory staff, and caregivers with genuine courtesy and professionalism
• Follow the playbook – Work under limited supervision while adhering to established procedures and best practices
• All while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, safety, and patient care!
