Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a friendly phlebotomist to join our laboratory team. You will master specimen collection and transport, ensure patient comfort, and support accurate lab results across diverse age groups.

In this role you will perform phlebotomy for a portion of your schedule, process specimens, and assist with point-of-care testing while maintaining the highest safety and courtesy standards for patients and caregivers.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Minimum of six months of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Master specimen collection, including phlebotomy, for at least 25% of scheduled hours.
• Process and transport laboratory specimens following established procedures.
• Get hands-on with point-of-care testing and nail accurate order entry—support patient outcomes.
• Provide professional, courteous service to patients, laboratory staff, and caregivers.
• Maintain safety and proficiency while handling specimens for all patient age groups.
