Job summary

Aspirus Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff, WI seeks a part-time Laboratory Assistant/Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform specimen collection and processing, label and distribute samples, and input data into the laboratory information system. Weekend 12-hour shifts are part of the role, with 48 hours per pay period.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of phlebotomy program or related health care training is beneficial.
• Knowledge of lab standards/biological sciences beneficial.
• EKG basic interpretation courses beneficial.
• Phlebotomy or related health care experience beneficial.
• Computer experience beneficial.
• Customer service/telephone communications experience beneficial.
• Must maintain BLS training as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform collection, labeling, processing and distribution of specimens.
• Use relevant computer programs and perform data entry.
• Cancel and credit tests as needed.
• Adhere to established lab policies and procedures.
