Aspirus Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff, WI is seeking a dedicated Lab Assistant / Phlebotomist for full-time, 80 hours per pay period with varied shifts and weekend/holiday rotation.

The role involves collecting, labeling, processing, and distributing specimens, data entry, and test cancellations/credits, under general supervision and according to lab policies. A friendly, service-oriented demeanor is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy program or related health care training beneficial.
• Knowledge of lab standards; courses in sciences beneficial.
• EKG interpretation coursework beneficial.
• Phlebotomy or related lab experience beneficial.
• Computer experience beneficial.
• Customer service/telephone communication experience beneficial.
• Current BLS certification may need to be obtained.

Responsibilities

• Collect, label, process, and distribute specimens for lab testing.
• Enter data and manage test cancellations/credits in computer systems.
• Work under supervision following established policies and procedures.
• Support patient age-appropriate testing and safe specimen handling.
