Job summary

Aspirus Medford Hospital in Medford, WI is hiring a Lab Assistant II for part-time (.6 FTE). Primary shifts are 8 hours during Day/PM, Monday–Friday with weekends as needed.

You will perform specimen collection, labeling, processing, distribution, data entry, and assist in waived and non-waived testing under supervision. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent with phlebotomy training; one year of healthcare experience; and BLS certification may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with phlebotomy training.
• One year of healthcare experience required.
• Phlebotomy certification by a national agency beneficial.
• Current BLS certification may need to be obtained.

Responsibilities

• Collect, label, process, and distribute biological specimens for lab testing.
• Perform data entry and manage test cancellations/credits in computer systems.
• Perform waived and non‑waived testing and assist in lab departments as needed.
