Zusammenfassung

Hollywood Presbyterian is seeking a phlebotomist to collect blood samples across neonatal to geriatric patients in the hospital laboratory. You will prioritize workloads, process specimens for testing, and ensure proper documentation and specimen integrity.

Candidates should have effective communication skills, a high school diploma, and preferably one year of hospital phlebotomy experience. Licensure includes AHA BLS, Fire Card within 30 days, and ARC within 30 days.

Qualifikationen

• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• One year phlebotomy experience in a hospital laboratory preferred.
• Licensure: AHA BLS Card, Fire Card within 30 days, ARC within 30 days.

Aufgaben

• Performing phlebotomy for collection of blood samples.
• Planning, organizing and prioritizing workload.
• Demonstrating ability to process specimens for clinical laboratory tests.
• Knowing and applying criteria for specimen rejection.
• Documenting collection information.
• Performing routine clerical tasks including using the laboratory computer.
• Preparing and replenishes materials, supplies and regents.
• Incorporates HPMC mission of “quality care with compassion and respect” into daily performance of job functions.
• Assists in new employee orientation upon request of Supervisor.
• Communicates problems/concerns to Supervisor.
• Responds acceptably to priority specifications for pick-ups (stat, timed, etc.).
