Westfields Hospital & Clinic in New Richmond, Wisconsin is seeking a Laboratory Assistant responsible for phlebotomy and specimen collection, with duties including processing orders and ensuring timely lab results. You will work with hospital lab staff and clinics to support patient care.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, 2–3 years phlebotomy experience, familiarity with pediatric and oncology patients, and experience with Laboratory Information Systems.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Experience with pediatric and oncology patients preferred.
• Experience with Laboratory Information Systems preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and collects appropriate specimens from patients as ordered.
• Communicates effectively with all patient populations.
• Follows facility requirements for patient identification in all situations.
• Works closely with hospital lab staff and clinics to ensure timely processing and resulting of samples.
• Processes incoming orders for lab testing.
