Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque, NM is hiring a Clinical Laboratory Assistant for the PresNow Coors ED/Urgent Care. The role performs phlebotomy, specimen processing, and limited testing with proper training, while supporting clinical floor staff and maintaining supplies.

Qualifications include HS/GED with nine months of phlebotomy experience and BLS; ASCP or equivalent certification is preferred. Night shift, full-time 0.90 FTE, on-site with strong safety and compliance culture.

Qualifications

• HS/GED plus nine months of phlebotomy experience. BLS at time of hire.
• Preference of PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification. Point of care and moderate complexity testing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and other collection procedures as established.
• Handles specialized collections like urine drug testing and PPDs when required.
• Receives, processes and stores specimens; performs centrifuging, aliquoting and biohazard disposal as needed.
• Performs waived and moderate complexity testing after training and competency.
• Maintains equipment and orders supplies; ensures regulatory compliance.
• Assists clinical staff with stocking, cleaning, and patient transport as necessary.
