Job summary

Qualifications

• HS/GED plus 9 months of phlebotomy experience.
• PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Point-of-care, waived, and moderate complexity testing experience preferred.
• On-call required; may work holidays, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and other collection procedures per established procedures.
• Performs specialized collections (urine drug collections, PPD) if required.
• Processes requisitions, enters test orders, and prints collection labels.
• Receives, processes and stores specimens, centrifuges, aliquots, and handles biosafety tasks.
• Performs waived and moderate complexity testing with validated training and competency.
• Maintains routine equipment and pipette calibration; orders and inventories supplies.
