Qualifications

HS Diploma or GED required
Phlebotomy training and experience in outpatient or hospital setting
Prior experience in hospital laboratory receiving area
Prior experience with Laboratory Information System (LIS)

Responsibilities

Draw blood for diagnostic testing from patients across all ages.
Process a variety of clinical specimens for laboratory testing.
Enter patient demographics, test orders, and billing information into EMR/LIS.
Follow SOPs for collection and processing of specimens; maintain 100% accuracy.
Label specimens correctly and manage timely collection of scheduled samples.
Maintain safety, infection control and clean work environment; promote professionalism.
