Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque Isleta is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant to perform phlebotomy and other specimen collection procedures, order tests, process patient specimens and perform quality control. Qualifications include HS/GED with nine months of phlebotomy experience and BLS at time of hire; PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred.

The position is PRN with varied days and hours, supporting clinical floor staff and lab operations.

Qualifications

• HS/GED and nine months of phlebotomy experience.
• Prefers PBT (ASCP) or equivalent certification.
• On-call, holidays, evenings and weekends as required.
• BLS required at time of hire.

Responsabilités

• Performs phlebotomy and collection procedures as per established procedures.
• Performs urine drug collections and PPDs if required.
• Processes requisitions and enters test orders into the computer system.
• Receives, processes and stores specimens; centrifuging, aliquoting, and stabilizing.
• Performs waived and moderate complexity testing with appropriate training.
• Maintains equipment and inventories; ensures regulatory compliance.
• Assists clinical floor staff with stocking and patient transport.
