Job summary

Grand Haven Hospital, part of Trinity Health, seeks a full-time Phlebotomy technician for day shifts. You will collect blood samples, identify and process specimens, and guide patients and staff on proper collection and reporting procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy training certification preferred.
• Experience preferred.
• Proficient use of computers.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples from patients.
• Accurately identify, lab transfer and process specimens.
• Receives and instructs patients, nurses, staff physicians, doctor’s offices regarding proper collection of specimens and laboratory reports, procedures and other lab information.
• Receives and instructs patients, interprets physician’s orders, enters orders into lab computer system and schedules appointments.
