Job summary

JumpStart Games is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to perform phlebotomy, verify patient identification, draw blood from patients of all ages, and ensure specimen integrity for processing.

You will label specimens, enter accurate patient data into the LIS, maintain a clean, well-stocked work area, and follow safety standards for biohazardous materials and equipment. A high school diploma is required and one year of phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Functions Phlebotomy skills are such that specimens are obtained correctly and specimen integrity is maintained.
• Verifies accurate and correct information on patients and proceeds to accurate labeling of specimens.
• Accurate data entry skills in verifying correct patient information and requested tests.
• Professional attitude with patients including assistance with patients' questions and giving instructions on specimen collection and handling.
• Maintains a well-stocked, clean, and orderly work environment.
• Adheres to all safety standards in the handling of biohazardous specimens and contaminated phlebotomy equipment.
