Encompass Medical Group invites applications for a full-time Certified Phlebotomist/Lab Assistant at our Independence location. The role supports coordination between patients, clinics, and laboratory personnel, handling specimen collection, preparation, and data entry under supervision.

The position requires a phlebotomy certification and prior phlebotomy experience, with hours 8:30am–5:00pm, Monday–Friday. We offer a competitive salary, benefits, and a $500 sign-on bonus.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of certifiable phlebotomy course or approved training.
• Active phlebotomy certification required.
• Phlebotomy experience required.

Responsabilidades

• Greet patients and serve as the primary liaison between patients and laboratory staff.
• Answer incoming calls and collect pertinent patient data.
• Collect, prepare, and process specimens for lab testing according to lab protocols and requisitions.
• Verify patient identity and proper labeling of specimens; ensure specimen integrity.
• Enter patient information and test results into the EMR/Labdaq systems; assist with paperwork as needed.
• Notify patients or clinics of redraws and communicate critical results to providers.
