Job summary

Vitalant is seeking an entry-level Donor Care Technician I - Phlebotomist in Flagstaff, AZ to travel to regional blood drives and work directly with donors to collect blood and blood products that save lives.

No prior experience is required; paid training is provided. The role involves full-time hours with a schedule Tue-Fri, 3am–10pm, and a starting pay of $20.10 per hour, plus mileage reimbursement for travel.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED.
• Valid in-state driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Effective oral and written communication.
• Basic working knowledge of Windows OS.
• Ability to read and follow procedures.
• Flexibility for varied shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome, educate, and care for donors throughout the donation process.
• Perform blood collections while prioritizing donor safety and comfort.
• Maintain accurate records and follow quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Drive company vehicles to mobile blood drive locations and set up equipment.
• Support a mission-driven team ensuring blood is available when needed.
