The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, completed phlebotomy training, and at least 6 months in a Patient Service Center environment or completion of the Inova Phlebotomy School.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Phlebotomy training or related allied health program.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepares, stores, and packages specimens per lab protocols.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and staff to optimize performance.
• Handles patient registration/billing/test orders to ensure accurate testing and billing.
• Performs proper specimen collection and labeling according to policy.
• Provides excellent patient and customer service using AIDET principles.
