Qualifications

  • An associate degree (or higher) in a health-related field.
  • Prior teaching experience and curriculum development.
  • Experience with assessment of student learning.
  • Current Phlebotomy Certification (ASCP, NHA, AMT or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent clinical experience as a phlebotomist.
  • Basic healthcare credentials such as BLS.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging instruction in classroom and lab per approved curriculum.
  • Demonstrate venipuncture and specimen collection procedures safely.
  • Evaluate and document student performance with timely feedback.
  • Maintain attendance, grades, and progress records per policy.
  • Ensure lab materials and equipment are safe and functional.
  • Participate in faculty meetings and program development.
  • Assist in accreditation and state requirements compliance.
  • Mentor students and model professional behavior.
