Labcorp is hiring a Phlebotomist at our Amsterdam, NY site. The role involves blood collection by venipuncture and capillary methods, processing specimens, data entry, and handling billing tasks. Travel to additional sites may be required.

The position emphasizes exceptional patient service and accurate record-keeping. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED, or phlebotomy certification, with preferred experience of 1 year or more.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsabilidades

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
