Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Team Lead at the Wildomar, CA site to oversee phlebotomy operations, ensure accuracy and efficiency, and support patient-centered care. The role requires a California phlebotomy license and leadership experience.

You will supervise blood collection, scheduling, and training, while maintaining compliance, quality metrics, and a positive patient experience. Travel to other sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Two years or more experience as phlebotomist.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT).
• In lieu of license, an application for license may meet requirement.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report performance, compliance or staffing issues.
• Manage and monitor patient flow, wait times, inventory levels and logs.
• Monitor monthly productivity reports and report deviations.
• Collect specimens for blood tests and other analyses.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately.
• Travel to additional sites as needed.

LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Team Lead to join our team at 36320 Inland Valley Drive, Suite 103, Wildomar, CA 92595 Work Schedule: Monday to Friday hours vary between 6:00am-6:00pm, additional hours and rotating weekends may be required.

Job Responsibilities

• Observe and report any performance, compliance or staffing related issues to supervisors
• Manage and monitor patient flow, wait times, inventory levels and information logs
• Monitor monthly productivity reports and report any deviations as necessary
• Address any customer service-related issues in a prompt and respectful manner
• Promote teamwork, cohesiveness and effective communication among coworkers
• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collecting payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• 2 years or more of experience as phlebotomist
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT)

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree
• 3 years or more of experience as phlebotomist
• 2 years or more of experience supervisory role

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of state license requirement listed above, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement.
• Experience managing workflow in a patient-centered environment
• 1 year or more phlebotomist experiences pediatric patients
• Knowledge of phlebotomy procedures, techniques, and role responsibilities.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Be at least 21 years of age and have a clean driving record
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Exceptional customer service

QUARTERLY INCENTIVE BONUS PROGRAM. PSC Site Coordinator may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics

Pay Range

$24.00 - $29.00 per hour All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

• Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
