Job summary

Labcorp in Orange, CA is seeking a Phlebotomist for a part-to-full-time schedule with hours Monday through Friday 8:00 am-1:00 pm, and potential overtime or weekends. You will perform venipuncture, collect specimens, enter data, and support patient care while maintaining logs and accurate billing details.

The role requires a California CPT license, a high school diploma or equivalent, and 1+ month of phlebotomy experience; bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT).
• 1 month or more of experience as phlebotomist.
• Bilingual with proficiency in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collecting payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 am-1:00 pm, additional hours and rotating weekends may be required.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT)
• 1 month or more of experience as phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of experience as phlebotomist
• Current or Prior experience at LabCorp

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of state license requirement listed above, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement.
• 1 year or more phlebotomist experiences with Geriatrics and Pediatric patients
• Bilingual with proficiency in Spanish and English
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation

Pay Range: $23.00 - $33.00 per hour
