Job summary

Labcorp in Laguna Hills, CA is seeking a Phlebotomist Site Coordinator to join our team at 23961 Calle De La Magdalena, Laguna Hills, CA 92653. You will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company across PSCs or client offices.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as phlebotomist.
  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
  • California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT).

Responsibilities

  • Observe and report performance, compliance or staffing issues to supervisors.
  • Manage and monitor patient flow, wait times, inventory levels and information logs.
  • Monitor monthly productivity reports and report deviations as necessary.
  • Address customer service-related issues promptly and respectfully.
  • Promote teamwork and effective communication among coworkers.
  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
  • Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
  • Process billing information and collect payments when required.
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
  • Travel to additional sites when needed.

LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Site Coordinator to join our team at 23961 Calle De La Magdalena, Suite 230, Laguna Hills, CA 92653 Work Schedule: Monday to Friday hours vary between 7:15am-4:15pm, additional hours and rotating weekends may be required.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Observe and report any performance, compliance or staffing related issues to supervisors
  • Manage and monitor patient flow, wait times, inventory levels and information logs

  • Address any customer service-related issues in a prompt and respectful manner
  • Promote teamwork, cohesiveness and effective communication among coworkers
  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Process billing information and collecting payments when required
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed

We are currently seeking a phlebotomist to work in either a Patient Service Center or Client office. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. In addition, you will be provided with opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

QUARTERLY INCENTIVE BONUS PROGRAM. PSC Site Coordinator may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 2 years or more of experience as phlebotomist
  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate degree
  • 3 years or more of experience as phlebotomist
  • 2 years or more of experience supervisory role
Additional Job Standards:
  • In lieu of state license requirement listed above, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement.
  • Experience managing workflow in a patient-centered environment 1 year or more phlebotomist experiences pediatric patients
  • Knowledge of phlebotomy procedures, techniques, and role responsibilities.
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
  • Be at least 21 years of age and have a clean driving record
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Exceptional customer service
Pay Range:

$24.00 - $31.00 per hour All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

Benefits:
  • Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
  • Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
  • Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
