Job summary

Southeast Orthopedic Specialists in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a PRN Phlebotomist to join our Southside Clinic and support a busy orthopedics workflow. You will perform venipuncture, assist with donor processes, and help prep rooms and specimens for testing.

The ideal candidate will have a phlebotomy diploma or ASCPP, CPR certification, and experience with EHR (NextGen) and PACS. Excellent communication, accuracy, and adherence to safety protocols are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy diploma or certificate required.
• ASCPP certification preferred; CPR certification required.
• Experience with EHR systems (NextGen) preferred.
• Experience in a medical orthopedic setting beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and verify patient identity.
• Prepare rooms and restock supplies; maintain clean environments.
• Operate EHR and PACS systems efficiently.
• Perform venipuncture and collect blood samples per protocols.
• Assist donors before, during, and after donation.
• Maintain equipment sterilization and inventory control.
