Job summary

TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center is offering PRN phlebotomist opportunities to join our team. This role involves collecting and processing patient specimens and supporting the laboratory workflow in a hospital setting.

The position emphasizes adherence to safety protocols, accuracy in processing reports, and strong communication with patients and staff. Prior phlebotomy training is preferred, and a high school diploma or GED is desirable.

Qualifications

  • Basic computer proficiency required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Phlebotomy training and experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to facility risk policies when handling hazardous medications.

Job Summary And Qualifications
Position Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.
  • Participates in patient specimen collection responsibilities.
  • Computer processing of patient specimens before and after collection.
  • Process and distribute patient reports.
  • Demonstrates understanding and adherence to StoneCrest Code of Conduct
  • Performs any duties necessary to the efficient and quality operation of the department.
  • This position entails potential for exposure to hazardous medications as defined by TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center’s Hazardous Drug Policy as either hazardous or antineoplastic. All facility-endorsed risk mitigation strategies for handling hazardous medications must be followed appropriately.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D., preferred
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Good written/verbal communication skills
  • Phlebotomy training and experience, preferred
