Job summary

TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center in Smyrna, TN is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our patient-focused laboratory team. You will perform specimen collection, ensure proper handling, and document results in the computer system.

This role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and compassionate communication with patients. Education requirements are a high school diploma, basic computer skills, and phlebotomy training preferred; prior experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.
  • Participates in patient specimen collection responsibilities.
  • Computer processing of patient specimens before and after collection.
  • Process and distribute patient reports.
  • Demonstrates understanding and adherence to StoneCrest Code of Conduct
  • Performs any duties necessary to the efficient and quality operation of the department.
  • This position entails potential for exposure to hazardous medications as defined by TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center’s Hazardous Drug Policy as either hazardous or antineoplastic. All facility-endorsed risk mitigation strategies for handling hazardous medications must be followed appropriately.
