Job summary

Menorah Medical Center is seeking a Phlebotomist PRN to join our Laboratory team in Overland Park, Kansas. The role involves collecting blood samples, labeling specimens, and performing CLIA-waived analyses under supervision, with emphasis on safety and patient service.

Qualifications include completion of a phlebotomy program; certification preferred, weekend availability for PRN shifts, and prior hospital experience. Strong teamwork and basic computer skills are valued in this role.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of Phlebotomy Course/Program required.
  • Phlebotomy certification highly preferred, but can obtain once hired.
  • One year of experience needed highly preferred.
  • MINIMUM 8-10 sticks per hour.
  • Must have open availability for weekends for PRN.
  • Hospital experience is highly preferred.
  • Looking for trainable candidates with good experience and the ability to work as a team.
  • Six months computer keyboarding or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Laboratory Phlebotomist performs collections of blood samples and specimens efficiently and appropriately following hospital and department standards and policies. Under the supervision of a Medical Technologist, the Phlebotomist may also performs routine technical functions, CLIA waived analyses and quality control.
