Qualifications

• Ability to utilize multiple computer systems to track and receive orders.
• Learn specimen requirements for over 2000 tests and timing for draws.
• Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work independently and with clinical staff to ensure task completion and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Performs specimen collections and testing per lab policy.
• Computer data entry and workflow monitoring.
• Assesses environment to ensure patient safety and selects appropriate equipment.
• Maintains chain of custody for forensic collections.
• Maintains HRP and pending log lists.
• Organizes workflow to improve efficiency.
• Answers phones, faxes reports, maintains phlebotomy inventory.
• May drive to offsite locations for specimen collections.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
