Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of phlebotomy experience required, or if graduation from a phlebotomy program, no previous experience required.

Responsibilities

• Consults with healthcare providers and patients regarding phlebotomy service issues.
• Ensures quality and accuracy of work.
• Investigates problems with equipment, patient results, specimens and/or workflow.
• May participate on teams or perform special projects/assignments.
• May train new employees, phlebotomy students and/or other healthcare providers.
• Review test results to ensure accuracy of reporting and timely correction of errors.
• Performs phlebotomy procedures, quality control and equipment maintenance in the laboratory.
• Responsible for daily work completion and monitoring of the lab area.
