Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Phlebotomy training completed or significant relevant experience in a health care setting.
• 1–2 years' experience in a laboratory, hospital, or doctor’s office with some phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Must have current national phlebotomy certification upon hire.
• Must be able to pass a basic FIT test and lift up to 15 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomies and special collection procedures across all patient ages.
• Handle registration and clerical functions for the department.
• Have access to patient health information as part of duties.
• Possibly access medication storage areas related to job responsibilities.
