Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and specimen collection with accuracy and care.
• Label, centrifuge, and store specimens per procedure; ensure proper paperwork matching.
• Explain venipuncture steps clearly to patients and families; maintain patient comfort.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations; wear appropriate PPE and participate in trainings.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity during handling.
