Job summary

Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System is seeking a Phlebotomist for Pelham Medical Center in Greer, SC. You will perform venipuncture and collect specimens, ensuring proper labeling and timely delivery to the lab. The role requires ASCP eligibility and completion of an accredited phlebotomy program.

The position involves patient communication across age groups, adherence to standards, and flexibility in hours. Prior LIS experience and BLS are preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of an accredited Phlebotomy Program required.
• Ability to draw an average of 7 patients per hour within 90 days.
• Must be ASCP eligible.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection for lab testing.
• Label specimens accurately and deliver to proper destination promptly.
• Enter orders and maintain patient communication per age-specific needs.
• Respond to traumas or emergencies as required.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to department policies.
