Job summary

Fort HealthCare is seeking a phlebotomist to join our Laboratory team in Wisconsin. The role supports patient care with a steady hand, warm smile, and attention to accurate blood collection during the PM shift, Monday to Thursday, 2:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.

You will collect specimens, assist with waived tests, and collaborate with medical technologists to ensure timely processing and reporting of results.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ASCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• The phlebotomist collects blood specimens from patients and performs other lab duties under the guidance of the medical technologists.
• Collects specimens from patients of all ages using various collection devices.
• Monitors orders and collection lists assuring timely collection.
• Performs waived testing procedures, culture set up and assists in specimen processing.
• Organizes, restocks, and cleans outpatient drawing area and all carts, trays and handhelds.
