Position Summary

This position may be located within a Hospital Facility, Patient Service Center (PSC), In Office Phlebotomy (IOP) or Mobile Diagnostic Services (MDS). The role involves collecting and receiving biological specimens, properly entering data into the company’s computer system, preparing samples for analytical testing, and distributing them to the correct analytical area. The phlebotomist will also perform specified analytical tests as assigned and cover multiple locations. Responsibilities include pre‑ and post‑testing aspects, ensuring quality diagnostic care, and adhering to regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Collect and receive biological specimens from patients.
  • Enter specimen data accurately into the computer system.
  • Prepare samples for analytical testing and distribute them to the appropriate area.
  • Perform specified analytical tests as assigned.
  • Provide coverage at multiple locations, including mobile and in‑office settings.
  • Follow guidelines of the Code of Conduct and industry standards.
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Support flexible scheduling, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and occasional on‑call duties.
  • Maintain high standards of patient care and quality diagnostics.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum age 18.
  • High School diploma or equivalent (state requirements may apply).
  • Completion of a phlebotomy program or prior phlebotomy experience.
  • Basic knowledge of department resource materials.
  • Ability to obtain DHS fingerprinting certification if required.
  • Valid state driver’s license (may be required for float positions).
  • Flexibility to travel to multiple locations and work mobile or in‑office settings.
  • Available for flexible hours, weekends, holidays, overtime, and occasional on‑call duties.
  • Willingness to progress through the career ladder (II‑IV) upon completion of requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Spanish/English (bilingual).
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Additional related education and/or experience.
