Job summary

Virtua Health in New Jersey is seeking a Part-time Phlebotomist to join our Burlington Hospital location. You will collect patient specimens, perform labeling, and ensure accurate handling in line with lab protocols.

This role emphasizes patient care and precise clerical tasks in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities include phlebotomy, specimen processing, and coordinating with nurses and clinicians to support timely test results.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience with detailed clerical work.
• Phlebotomist experience in a medical setting preferred.
• Good interpersonal and time management skills.

Job Summary

Adhere to correct policy and procedures in carrying out routine tasks. Collects and processes patient specimens for testing in adherence with laboratory protocols. Perform laboratory tests including pre- and post-analytic phases. Prepare samples/specimens for producing accurate and reliable results by following collection procedure.

Required Experience

Previous customer service experience with demonstrated ability to perform detailed clerical work. Previous experience working as a Phlebotomist in a medical setting preferred. Good interpersonal and time management skills.

Required Education

High school diploma or equivalent.

Training / Certification / Licensure

Formal phlebotomy training required. ASCP, NHA or AMT certification preferred.
