Job summary

Virtua Health in Mount Holly, NJ is seeking a full-time phlebotomist to collect and process patient specimens in a fast-paced laboratory setting. You will identify patients, perform phlebotomy, label specimens, and ensure accurate pre-analytic steps while maintaining excellent customer service.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, formal phlebotomy training, and preferred certification (ASCP, NHA, AMT). Prior patient-facing service experience is advantageous.

Job Summary:

Adhere to correct policy and procedures in carrying out routine tasks. Collects and processes patient specimens for testing in adherence with laboratory protocols. Perform laboratory tests including pre- and post-analytic phases. Prepare samples/specimens for producing accurate and reliable results by following collection procedure.

Required Experience:

Previous customer service experience with demonstrated ability to perform detailed clerical work. Previous experience working as a phlebotomist in a medical setting preferred. Good interpersonal and time management skills.

Required Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Training / Certification / Licensure:

Formal phlebotomy training required. ASCP, NHA or AMT certification preferred.

Hourly Rate: $18.89 - $27.81The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant’s experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
