Job summary

US Fertility, a nationwide network of fertility centers, is seeking a friendly Phlebotomist to join Fertility Centers of Illinois in Hinsdale, Illinois. This per diem role offers weekend coverage with a 6:30 AM to 12:00 PM shift and hourly compensation between $21 and $24, depending on experience.

You will perform venipuncture and specimen collection, ensure proper labeling, and support clinicians in a fast-paced medical setting while maintaining HIPAA standards and patient care excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Phlebotomy certification or diploma required.
• CPR certification required.
• Experience in a fast-paced medical office or fertility clinic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and collect blood, urine, and tissue specimens with proper techniques.
• Confirm lab orders, verify patient identity, and ensure accurate specimen labeling.
• Follow insurance guidelines and complete consent forms prior to collection.
• Process specimens for in-house or external testing (Quest, LabCorp, ACL, genetic panels).
• Maintain cleanliness and proper stocking of phlebotomy and clinical areas.
• Ensure biohazard and sharps disposal procedures are followed.
• Provide timely and compassionate service to patients.
• Support nurses with specimen-related workflows and patient follow-ups.
• Communicate timelines for results and next steps.
• Maintain professionalism and HIPAA compliance at all times.

Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for a Phlebotomist to join our team at Fertility Centers of Illinois in Hinsdale, Illinois.

• Schedule: Per Diem, schedule varies as needed for weekends 6:30 AM to 12:00 PM
• Compensation:$21 to $24 per hour ( commensurate with experience)

In this role, the Phlebotomist will:

Perform venipuncture and collect blood, urine, and tissue specimens using proper techniques and Universal Precautions

Confirm lab orders in, verify patient identity, and ensure accurate specimen collection and labeling

Follow insurance guidelines and complete necessary consent forms prior to specimen collection

Process specimens for in-house or external testing (e.g., Quest, LabCorp, ACL, genetic panels)

Maintain cleanliness and proper stocking of phlebotomy and clinical areas

Ensure biohazard and sharps disposal procedures are followed

Provide timely and compassionate service to patients

Support nurses with specimen-related workflows and patient follow-ups

Communicate clear expectations around results timelines and next steps

Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and adherence to HIPAA at all times

Provide coverage at other clinic locations as needed, including weekends

What You’ll Bring

Qualifications and Skills Include:

High school diploma required

Phlebotomy certification or diploma required

CPR certification required

Proficient in venipuncture and clinical specimen processing

Prior experience in a fast-paced medical office or fertility clinic strongly preferred

Familiarity with EMR systems and lab portals

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask

Able to work independently and collaboratively within a clinical team

Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to start (unless an approved medical or religious exemption is provided)
