Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state of employment.
• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in fast-paced labs or hospitals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, and centrifuge when required.
• Record maintenance data and ensure proper decontamination of work areas.
• Update patient information and explain venipuncture procedures clearly.
• Match requisition forms to specimens, label and store specimens properly.
• Package specimens for transport and follow transport temperature protocols.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations; attend annual trainings.
• Handle telephone inquiries and communicate results to clinicians.
