Job summary

Keystone Distinction Group in Greenbelt, MD is seeking a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract with potential for permanent placement. The role focuses on venipuncture, specimen labeling, centrifugation, and accurate data entry, in a fast-paced clinical setting.

A minimum of 3 years’ experience, pediatric and geriatric exposure, and a valid phlebotomy certification are required. High school diploma or GED and proficiency with MS Office are expected.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where employed.
• Minimum of 5 years experience performing venipunctures in fast-paced labs or hospital settings.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience performing blood draws and labeling specimens.
• Centrifuging specimens and recording maintenance data.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Match requisitions to tubes, label, centrifuge, and store specimens.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure specimen integrity.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and attend trainings.
• Respond to inquiries and communicate test results as needed.
