Job summary

Aspire Talent Solutions is seeking a Phlebotomist in Columbia, MD. The role is a 3-month contract with potential for permanent placement.

Schedule is 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with patient-focused blood collection and specimen processing in a fast-paced lab setting. Responsibilities include venipuncture, labeling, centrifuging, data recording, and adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification as required; minimum 6 months venipuncture in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• High School Diploma or GED; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Package and transport specimens per procedure; ensure accurate labeling and test requisitions.
• Explain venipuncture process to patients clearly and courteously; demonstrate technique with needles as required.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations; attend annual trainings and maintain proper documentation.
