Job Description:
- The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of our company to patients, assisting them with health routines and health decisions.
- Draws quality blood samples and prepares specimens for lab testing following established procedures.
- Builds trust with patients by explaining procedures and performing blood draws safely and accurately.
- Demonstrates leadership, process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information.
- Depending on needs, may be assigned to a doctor's office, patient service center, or other locations.
- Performs daily activities accurately and on time under supervision.
- Maintains a safe and professional environment.
- Performs forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established practices.
- Verifies patient demographic information and labels specimens correctly.
- Maintains records and documentation as required.
- Promotes a positive image and demonstrates organizational commitment.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to produce quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
- Adherence to policies, safety, and dress code.
- Good judgment and decision-making skills.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record if applicable.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours across multiple locations.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
- Strong customer focus and communication skills.
- Training locations may vary.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred, required in CA, NV, WA.
Work Experience:
- At least three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
- Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center preferred.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience.
