Job Description
- The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative (PSR II) represents our company to patients, whether for routine health checks or critical health decisions.
- The PSR II draws quality blood samples and prepares specimens for lab testing, adhering to established procedures.
- Creates a trusting environment by explaining procedures and drawing blood safely and accurately.
- Demonstrates leadership, process excellence, and confidentiality.
- May be assigned to various locations based on business needs.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform daily activities accurately under supervision.
- Maintain a safe, professional environment.
- Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection confidently following protocols.
- Verify patient demographic info and label specimens correctly.
- Maintain records and documentation.
- Promote a positive image and organizational commitment.
Job Requirements
- Ability to produce error-free work in a fast-paced setting.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
- Adherence to policies, dress code, safety, and guiding principles.
- Good judgment and decision-making skills.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean record if applicable.
- Willingness to travel and work at multiple locations on short notice.
- Handle multiple priorities efficiently.
- Strong customer focus and communication skills, adaptable to change.
- Training location may vary.
Required Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred.
- Required in CA, NV, WA.
Work Experience
- At least 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
- Preferably 2+ years in a Patient Service Center.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience.
