Job summary

MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital in Tacoma, WA, seeks a Patient Services Representative to support Lab Services. You will handle patient registration, order entry, phlebotomy and specimen processing, with potential duties in specimen pick-up, report sorting and delivery, and supply delivery.

Candidates should be a high school graduate with MA-Cert or MA-Phlebotomy eligibility, or completed phlebotomy training; phlebotomy experience and public-facing work are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent required/preferred.
• Current Medical Assistant-Certified, MA-Phlebotomy Certification, or MA-Phlebotomist eligible with 90-day hire submission.
• Phlebotomy course or training completed preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Previous experience dealing with the public preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and enter orders.
• Perform phlebotomy and process specimens.
• Potentially pick-up specimens in offices, sort and deliver reports, and deliver supplies as needed.

Education

High school graduate or equivalent

Medical Assistant-Certified / MA-Phlebotomy Certification / MA-Phlebotomist eligible

Phlebotomy course or training completed

Phlebotomy experience preferred
