Job summary

MultiCare Allenmore Hospital in Tacoma, WA, is hiring a Phlebotomist-Patient Service Representative. The role combines patient registration, order entry, phlebotomy and specimen processing to support the Lab Services team.

You may also assist with specimen pickup, report sorting and delivery, and supply delivery as needed. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, MA-Certified or MA-Phlebotomy eligibility, and phlebotomy training; prior phlebotomy experience and public-facing work are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Current Medical Assistant-Certified, Medical Assistant-Phlebotomy Certification, or Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist eligible - must complete the training within 90 days of hire.
• Completion of phlebotomy course or training preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Previous experience dealing with the public preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and enter orders.
• Perform phlebotomy and process specimens.
• May collect specimens in offices and handle report sorting and delivery.
• Provide supply delivery and related tasks for Lab Services.
