Job summary

Labcorp in Carthage, TN is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. The role involves blood collection by venipuncture and capillary methods for all ages, preparing specimens for testing, and accurate data entry. Travel to additional sites may be required, with a Monday–Friday 8am–5pm schedule.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and a phlebotomy certification or training, or practical experience. Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Phlebotomy certification or completed training, or 3+ months experience as a phlebotomist.
• Preferred: 2+ years of phlebotomy experience.
• Additional standards include ability to pass color blindness test and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately in the system.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis; maintain logs and records.
• Provide superior customer service to patients; travel to additional sites as needed.
