Job summary

LabCorp is seeking a phlebotomist to join our team in Shreveport, LA. Work schedule is Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm with a 1-hour lunch.

You will perform blood collections, collect specimens for various tests, maintain logs, and provide excellent patient service in patient service centers or client offices. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy certification or training or 3+ months experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
