Job summary

Labcorp in Ponca City, OK is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our clinical team. You will perform skilled specimen collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques and ensure accurate data entry and courteous patient service in a fast-paced lab environment.

Schedule is Monday through Thursday 8:00am–5:00pm with possible overtime and Saturdays. The role may involve travel to additional sites and requires a high school diploma; certification preferred and color vision testing will be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed and travel to additional sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
