Job summary

Labcorp in East Syracuse, NY is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform skilled blood collections, label specimens correctly, and ensure efficient processing in a patient-focused environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, a phlebotomy certification, and at least six months of experience; one year is preferred. Travel to additional sites may be required to support patients and services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program.
• 6 months or more of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
