Qualifications

• May require Louisiana License as Medical Lab Assistant by LSBME within 6 months of employment if performing waived or moderate complex testing duties.

Responsibilities

• Identifies patients, collects samples and labels specimens according to established protocol.
• Coordinates, plans, and utilizes time efficiently to prioritize duties.
• Maintains inventory of supplies in work areas and requests/orders supplies as necessary.
• Supervises and trains lower-level Phlebotomists as needed.
• Performs waived or moderate complex testing procedures as applicable.
