Job summary

Labcorp in Huntsville, AL is seeking a phlebotomist to join our team. You will perform blood collections, prepare specimens, and maintain patient records in a client-focused setting.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy certification or training, and strong customer service and communication skills. The schedule is Monday–Friday 9:30am–3:30pm with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Pass a color blindness test and provide reliable patient service.
• Proven customer service skills and ability to communicate clearly.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
